Prayer from the heart...

Every night, when I put Jake down to sleep, after he's had his bedtime story, we say a little prayer. Just something short and sweet, thanking God for the day and asking for a restful night. I normally say it out loud and Jake sits quietly next to me, waiting to yell out 'Amen' when I'm finished. Last night, I'd just started our little prayer and he obviously decided that he had something to say and get off his chest, so he blurted out: 'Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for lips and useful things; thank you for a nice day; thank you for useful things and thank you for my mommy. Amen'. Too cute for words, although I battled not to laugh over all the "useful things" he's so grateful for. Hope everyone's well - will put up a new post as soon as I find the time to! XXX
