AHA!
Well, I think I'm 'A' for Away on this one!! Looks like I've successfully managed to get a blog opened and up and running - all on my own! Tee-hee. The only other blogs I've read are the ones linked to Caroline's site (all very entertaining) and it seems like there's a bit of a baby boom at the moment!! I'm here to scare everyone who's expecting, or already has cute little babies with my monster!! Most of you have met Jake and will know that he's growing up so quickly! As he tells everyone that asks "I be 3 in May". He's recently potty-trained himself, which has been such a bonus. I've heard so many horror stories about people spending months trying to get their kids to use a potty properly. I decided that I wasn't going to put any pressure on Jake with it and I really left it all up to him. He's been an absolute star and 2 weeks ago, he asked me if he could sleep in underpants too. I bought a waterproof for the bed and he hasn't had a wet bed yet! Whoohoooooooo!!! Just goes to show - you don't need to get them out of nappies too early; kids do these things when they're ready.
Besides that, he's coming out with some really cute things now and I'm having to be really careful about what I say out loud. He's become quite a little backseat driver too. I shouted at a "stupid old woman" the other day for pulling out in front of me and for the next couple of days everyone else on the road was a "stupid old woman". I also said "hell yes" to something the other day and he piped up with "hello yes" from the back seat... My mom told him the other day that his bum is precious and he in turn said "no, my bum cute". And then the laugh of laughs this week, we went out on Sunday evening for milkshakes on the beach front. When we left, Jake asked where we were going. My mom said "home James" and he replied "I not James". He calls himself "Jakey Moelans". He's also become really good at keeping himself entertained and loves playing with playdough, building blocks, cars, puzzles, colouring-in. Also loves singing, his favourites are Twinkle Twinkle, wheels on the bus and Jesus loves me. He's got a really good memory and has memorised a 1 - 10 story book. Each number's got a different farm animal and a 4 line rhyme to go with it. He loves "reading" it to us.
Anyway, till next time!
Love,
Sue xxx
Starting out...
Well, this definitely seems to be "in vogue", so I thought I'd give it a go. This first entry will just be a short one to check if this actually works!
