Love is in the air...

OK, her name's Jodie and she's a year older then Jake. He thinks she's the "bee's knees" and, apparently she talks about Jake almost as much as he does about her. Jodie went to Jake's current school last year too, so that makes Jake the new kid in her eyes. Anyway, all the mom's were invited to a Valentine's Day tea today at the school (Kiddie's Campus) and my boss obliged me and let me sneak out for almost 2 hours!! It was fun to see how the kids interact with one another and what they do during their day. It was also great to meet some moms and I'm sure Jake will have a few play dates with some of his friends in the not-too-distant future (YAY again for me working half days soon!). Anyway, Jodie's mom's really great and she said after the first day back at school, Jake was all Jodie spoke about. She even told her mom that she loves Jake. I was about to hit her (Jodie that is), but decided (against my better judgement) that I mustn't interfere in my son's love-life...

Oh, I also got 2 biscuits that he'd decorated and a little jar he made and decorated and put chocolates into for valentine's day. He's made various hearts and picture frames over the last week, so our house will look quite festive tomorrow. Needless to say, Jake was reluctant to part with his biscuits and chocolates, so all I actually got today was the decorated tub. He's gone to Jacques mom this afternoon, so I'm sure she'll be enjoying MY Valentine's gift...
