Rose & Gareth finally set a date...

The wedding is going to happen on Saturday, 31st of October 2009! Finally, a decision has been reached!! The venue has been chosen and booked as well!! On Saturday night, we all went out to Constantia Nek (http://www.constantianek.co.za/) with Rose & Gareth to try it out as a potential wedding venue. The band was playing and they are really very good. They play a range of 60s, 70s and 80s music, which are always crowd pleasers. We all had a chance on the dance floor and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The venue is really quaint and full of atmosphere. With the right crowd of friends, I'm sure it's going to be a fabulous event. Rose and Gareth have also booked part of their honeymoon - they're going to the Kruger National Park. They're staying in luxury tents and bungalows, so I'm sure that's going to be very memorable for them. I'm really looking forward to the wedding now, though there's still lots of planning to do. At least now, we know where we're heading...

Some pics from our dinner out...

From left to right: Paul, Jo, Rosanne, Gareth, Pat (Gareth's mom), my mom & my dad...

The happy couple, being silly...

Finally, a semi-decent shot...

Seriously, what's wrong with these people? They're a bunch of goof-balls...

Here's Paul and Jo. And he's pulling a "sexy" face for the camera. That's put on, not just a bad photo... Where did they find these guys??

Oh baby, oh baby... he's hot. Least he thinks so...

Poser-Paul. He's going to be a supermodel in his next life...

Rose and Gareth on the dance floor - they were forced up there. My dad requested one of their potential wedding songs (I've got you, babe), so they had to get up...

The folks showing the young ones how it's done...

My mom and dad got engaged at Constantia Nek way back when (they got married in 74, so must've gotten engaged a year earlier). It's going to be great for them to have everyone they care about with them in this special place on 31 October 2009...

I think anyone growing up during the late 60' and early 70's went to Contantia Nek more than a few times. It was a very romantic dinner dance venue and Peter and I have had many memorable nights there. It is going to be a very exciting year for you all. Love Fiona xxx
