The count down begins...

OK, so this is the last post in the batch that I've had. Hope you haven't been too bored with all the updates. Like I said, life's been busy!!

So, yesterday marked the 1st of December. I can't believe that we're a mere 23 days away from Christmas, there still seems to be so much to do. In so many ways, it still feels like Christmas is miles away, yet it's just 3 weeks on Thursday. Needless to say, Jake is in his element and can't wait. He's started his advent calendar (photos below) and flies out of bed each morning to get stuck into a mini-feast before breakfast. Anyway, I hope you've all got your Christmas shopping under control (I only have 3 gifts left to get), so that you can relax and enjoy the festivities of the season - it's such an exciting time of year, especially when you have little ones to share it with!!

This is the calendar Jake made at school. He's way more excited about this one then the one that I bought last year...

This is the advent calendar that I bought. Those little draws hold a surprising amount... Jake's haul for day 1... Plus a chocolate in a cracker that I bought too and the sweet from the calendar he made. He's doing well. Those jelly beans are from Woolworths - they're delicious and he's very lucky he got any. They're only R20 a bag...

This afternoon, Jake & I are going to Buitenverwachting for a picnic lunch. I'm a bit bummed that the sun's not out, but it's pretty sheltered down there, so we probably won't be affected by the south easter that's howling. I'm sure there'll be another pile of photos to follow after that.
