Rather late than never!! Finally here are some pics (all unedited) of Rylee's 4th birthday. What a special day for such a special little boy. His mom and dad went to town to make it an exciting and beautiful day.
The front door to the bat cave...
The adult's table - oh my gosh, she caters so well!! Each kid got his own superhero cape to take home...
Little bats on the walls...
The kids party table - the party packs were so full of yummy treats, Jake only finished his this week and he had some help (me)...
Oh gosh - I remember when Jake loved all things Batman...
Smiley Rylee...
A closer upper of the party table...
The amazing cake that Rosie made for her boy...
Fabulous Four!!
A happy family snap...
A little motivation for the kids and adults...
Take home treats...
Patiently waiting for his friends to arrive and the party to start...
Extra snacks added by grannies - oh gosh, I can't wait for Rylee's party next year!!
And then the his friends started to arrive and they waited together for more friends...
Rylee enjoyed every moment of his party and loved having all his friends over to his house...
Our littlest blue eyed boy...
Oh gosh, I hope you haven't had enough of these photos already - he's just too cute and he's looking so much like Gareth, for some reason, this photo makes my heart burst...
A highlight for all the kids was having BATMAN come to the party! The kids loved it and he behaved like an overgrown child, which they loved even more...
Totally cool dude...
Getting to know Batman...
I managed to get just one photo of Jake with Rylee at his party this year. There's a 10 year age gap between these two. By the time Rylee's Jake's age (don't blink, Rosie & Gareth), Jake will be 24!!! I cannot cope...
Spellbound...
My beautiful, fast growing, ever changing teen...
Batman kept the kids laughing...
And happy...
And totally spellbound for 2 hours...
They played tug-of-war...
Which was quite a serious affair - Jake and Gareth got involved with Gareth's brother, Grant, tugging on the opposite end...
Burning off some energy...
The almost lost to Grant and Batman...
In between there was time to sing to the birthday boy...
Huff and Puff...
Having fun throwing balls at Batman...
This one cracks me up...
He was just so happy and so excited and maybe showing off a little for the pretty girl next to him - hahahaha...
One last show with Batman. How he managed to see through that mask, I have no idea. The rest of his suit looked to big and the mask far too tiny, but the kids didn't notice, they had too much fun playing.
Rylee with his superhero...
Rylee had to wait until all his friends had gone home before he could open any of his presents - what a long wait...
Another comedy shot of Rylee. He was a very spoilt, super tired boy, but I'm sure he dreamt very happy dreams during his afternoon nap...
Who knew that this little miracle boy would sneak into our hearts the
way he has. He's 10 years younger than Jake and arrived just in time to ease
my broodiness (thanks Rosie & Gareth). He's so similar to Jake in so many ways, but then his
dad reminds me of Jacques too, so I guess it was bound to happen. He
loves being outside and has a similar sense of humour to Jake's. He's enthusiastic about life and always happy and so polite. He's helpful and practical and silly and kind. There
are plenty of differences too, that's what makes them each so special. Rylee's got a very soft nature -
he'll cry if you even raise your voice at him! He's also got impeccable
manners and almost never needs to be reminded to say please and thank you, something that his mom and dad can be very proud of! My
favourite is "you're welcome". He's just too cute! Jake adores having a
little boy around, although his school work has suddenly become
quite serious. Thank you for being part of our family, my Gogga, my poop face, we love you so much XXX
Happy weekend everyone!
