When I look at these photos, I get quite a fright that the big boy in the pictures is my child. It feels like just moments ago, that he was little and look at him now. While his looks have changed so much in the last little while (probably his desperation for a decent hair cut), he'll always be my baby. We popped in to my folks for a quick bite to eat last night and a little play with Connor. Bianca was exhausted and was sound asleep by 6pm. We waited till she was down to enjoy some warming spaghetti Bolognaise (which Corky said he doesn't like without even tasting). Once the boys had fought over who could eat the most paw-paw and avo, it was time for pudding. Custard in cups. They were both feeling silly and it was a lovely end to our evening.
Look Ma! I'm all clean and ready for bed!
Corky loved his custard 'stache...
Look at my messy face Nini...
Trying to lick his nose...
It's funny stuff man...
Corky was on top form, especially since I'd told him that the pictures were for his mommy...
Angelic. Well, almost...
Two clowns. The get each other going and were shrieking with laughter...
It was all fun and games, until Corky forgot what he was doing and sniffed his custard instead of drink it...
He didn't like that so much...
Of course Jake laughed (we all did) and Corky was not impressed...
But he soon saw the funny side of it too...
And couldn't help but have a laugh at his own expense...
But he still didn't think it was funny when Jake teased him that it'd go up his nose again! Pretend crying one second
And laughing the next...
As a tradition in our family, when it's your birthday, you get measured up on the back of the passage door. My mom and dad have replaced the door we once stood against when we were kids, but our heights were transferred onto the new door...
Not to miss out on any of the action, Corky came with to help measure Jake...
It's quite fun to see how Jake's growing by comparison to me. I was almost a complete midget. Thank goodness I was a girl! Jake's is on the left and mine's on the right. He's taller than I was when I was 10...
I didn't get many new pics of Bi today, but here's two of her fresh out of bed & dressed already with her warm bottle. She didn't want to be held this morning with her bottle...
And that's it. Jo and Paul leave Greece tomorrow and will be home on Sunday. Connor is so excited. He's got just one more present to open and knows that he only has to sleep tonight and tomorrow night before mommy and daddy get home. When I did the count down with him this morning, he said "YAAAAAAY" very loudly. To Jo & Paul - enjoy the last few moments of your wonderful holiday. Travel safely home, we will be thinking about you all the time and can't wait to see you on Sunday morning.
Lots and lots of love,
Sue XXX
