As I use my blog as a means of communication with my brother and sister, who are currently holidaying in Mykonos, Greece (vomit) and post a lot of photos of my beautiful nephew, Connor (aka Corky). It might not be an interesting blog post to you, but to Paul and Jo, I know that seeing a couple of new snaps of their happy little boy will mean the world. Now, I know there are lots, but he's cute and I just can't help myself. I also know they're not all the best photos ever taken, but Jo won't care.
Speaking of the parents, we've had a few text messages from them and they seem to be having a wonderful time. Jo said that Paris was beautiful and, considering they only had 1 full day there, they seem to have managed to do quite a bit - They went up the Eiffel Tower, visit the Mona Lisa and went on cruise down the Seine. I am sure that they managed to find time to stop and enjoying being in the city of love and, knowing Jo, they managed to shop up a small storm. They arrived in Greece yesterday afternoon and I'm sure they're enjoying relaxing on the beach. Quite weird thinking of them lazing in the sun, when it's cold and grey outside my window in Cape Town...
Anyway, enough!! We went through to our family friends in Simon's Town on Saturday afternoon for tea for my friend, Joanne's birthday. Simon's Town is such a beautiful corner of the world and our friends there have the most beautiful home right on the waters edge. Jake loves visiting, we often manage to spot whales and dolphins from their patio, plus they're all very much into nature, which Jake thrives on. He came home with a collection of seashells and porcupine quills. OK, OK... pics for Jo and Paul below:
Corky on the loose...
In his chair, enjoying his bit of birthday cake...
And juice...
Smiling for his auntie, playing peek-a-boo from behind my camera...
OK, he had flings (crisps) too...
Check that messy face!! He kept saying 'out' - didn't want to be in his chair for photos any more...
But the 'boo' game was funny...
He joined in, hiding his face behind his hands, then shouting boo at me when he pulled them down...
Enjoying the views, watching the 'beds' (birds)...
Shovel it, Corky! I like this photo...
And this one...
Hey, how'd you get in here? I think Jake was getting a little jealous that I was taking photos of Corky only. He actually called me and smiled for a photo!! Shock and horror. I love this kid more than my heart can handle. I took the boys down to the rocks at the bottom of our friend's property. Jake loves scratching around for shells and chucking rocks into the sea. Connor joined in with the rock tossing...
Corks was keen to go, but the rocks are just too uneven and my nerves couldn't deal with letting him go...
Back in his pram, walking on the lawns with 'Pa'...
And chasing Jake...
It was super-cool...
OK, so that's all for today. I'll take more photos of your boy when next I see him. He's doing fine, he's happy and healthy and he's having fun with mom and dad. With mom off, it's giving them lots of time to play and get out of the house. They've been staying at yours since Saturday and Corky seems very happy. Remember to relax, enjoy the sunshine (for all of us, the weather's crap here) and enjoy spending time together without having to worry about a thing. Isn't it nice having an adult conversation, without chasing after a toddler? Without worrying about bathing, feeding and bed time? Your holiday is going to be over before you know it, so just enjoy every moment, knowing that your little man is content.
Lots of love,
Sue XXX

Oh my goodness how cute is he??? what a treat for Mum and Dad to "have" to look after him. They must be having a ball. I have been battling to keep up with the blogs for some reason so have to catch up one at a time and read all the news about that person all at once. xxxx
Made our day - AND he does look happy, thanks for the pics!! Had an awesome day chilling out on the beach - working on my tan! Staying in such a lovely spot, wish we could share it!! After a day on the beach; afternoon nap; Tzatziki, olives and wine on our balcony we are now heading out for a walk around town and dinner - light until after 10pm, makes for a lovely LONG day xxx
I hope I'm not intruding, but Connor is absolutely adorable!
Have a fabulous trip Paul & Jo!
